Ms Sarah Boxer is a J.D. candidate at Harvard Law School (expected Fall 2025) and holds an LL.M. from the University of Cambridge (2025), where she focused on comparative and international law. Her academic work and professional training have concentrated on international cultural heritage law, with particular attention to the regulation of antiquities trafficking and the interaction between international conventions and domestic enforcement regimes.
She is currently a candidate for a Fulbright Study/Research grant (2026–27) with the project “Italy’s first year implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/880: lessons for transatlantic cultural property law in light of UNIDROIT 1995.” If awarded, her research will include a comparative analysis with the U.S. framework under the Cultural Property Implementation Act (CPIA) and bilateral MOUs. This project is closely aligned with UCAP’s mission to foster scholarship and dissemination on UNIDROIT 1995 and to strengthen the international legal framework for the protection of cultural heritage.
Contribution
Ms Boxer intends to contribute actively by sharing research outputs in the form of case notes, summaries of Italian implementation measures, and analyses in transatlantic comparative law. She would also be glad to present her findings in a seminar or workshop, and to collaborate with UCAP scholars and practitioners in expanding the Project’s Library and dissemination activities. Her aim is to support UCAP’s knowledge-sharing goals while fostering dialogue between Italian and American institutions on cultural heritage protection.
