Having been director of the Dutch Restitution Committee 2002-2016, at present I am at Leiden University finalizing my PHD research in the field of restitution of CP. I have various publications on my name in the field, lecture on the topic (among many others summer school on CP Leiden University); am a elected alternate member of the ILA Committee “Participation in Global Cultural Heritage Governance”; sit on the Kuratorium of the German Lost Art Foundation; and advise the national UNESCO Committee and the European Parliament on issues regarding looted art.
