Professor for private international law. Expertise in private international law and cultural property protection. Design and implementation of several research projects on the subject.

Recent project: “International restitution of cultural property: an approach from the perspective of countries of origin”. This project aimed to collect cases of repatriation or return of cultural objects (of Latin American origin) to their places of origin and characterize the cases collected on the basis of previously determined criteria, such as the subjects and the time at which they took place that is relevant to determining spatial and temporal validity of the applicable legal rules and the arguments used by the parties. The project also aimed to establish limitations that may arise when applying existing mechanisms of conventional and customary public international law and private international law.
